Ingredients: Pseudostellariae Heterophyllae, Angelicae Sinensis, Dioscoreae Oppositae Glycyrrhizae Uralensis, Astragali Membranaceus, Astractylodis Macrocephalae, Herba Epimedii Altismatis Orientalitis, Fructus Crataegi, Sclerotium Poriae Cocos, Citanches Deserticulae, Eucummiae Ulmoidis, Rehmanniae Glutinosae, Morindae Officinalis, Polygoni Multiflori , Alismatis Orientalitis, Cinnamomi Cassiae , Magnesium Stearate .

Radix Pseudostellariae Heterophyllae. Strengthens the Spleen and augments the qi – for Spleen and Stomach deficiency with fatigue and lack of appetite. Also, for Lung qi deficiency with spontaneous sweating. Generates fluids – for thirst and injury to fluids after a febrile disease. Also for unrelenting fever or summer heat in children.

Radix Dioscoreae Oppositae. Tonifies and augments the Spleen and Stomach – for Spleen or Stomach deficiency with such symptoms as diarrhea, fatigue, spontaneous sweating, or lack of appetite. Tonifies the Lung qi and augments the Lung yin – for chronic cough or wheezing due to Lung deficiency, especially of Lung yin. Tonifies the Kidneys and also stabilizes and binds – because this herb moistens and is neither hot nor cold, it benefits both the yin and the yang of the Lungs and Kidneys.

Cortex Acanthopnaacis Gracilistyli Radicis. Dispels wind-dampness and strengthens the sinews and bones – for chronic wind-cold-damp painful obstruction (wind cold- damp bi syndrome) when chronic deficiency of the Liver and Kidneys generates weak or soft sinews and bones. This herb is especially useful when the smooth flow of qi and blood is obstructed. It is particularly suitable for treating the elderly, and for developmental delay in the motor function of children. Transforms dampness and reduces swelling – for urinary difficulty, edema, and damp cold leg qi.

Semen Cuscutae Chinensis. Tonifies the Kidneys, augments the yin, secures the essence, and reserves the urine – for deficient Kidney yang patterns with such symptoms as impotence, nocturnal emission, premature ejaculation, tinnitus, frequent urination, sore painful back or vaginal discharge. Tonifies the Kidneys and Liver and improves vision – for patterns of deficient Liver and Kidney yin and yang (i.e. deficient essence) with such symptoms as dizziness, tinnitus, blurred vision, or spots in front of the eyes. Benefits the Spleen and Kidney and stops diarrhea – for diarrhea or loose stools with a lack of appetite from deficiency of both the Spleen and Kidneys..

Cortex Eucommiae Ulmoidis. Tonifies the Liver and Kidneys, strengthens the sinews and bones – for Liver and Kidney deficiency with such symptoms as weak, sore, or painful lower back and knees, fatigue, and frequent urination. Aids in the smooth flow of qi and blood – used to promote circulation, especially in those with weakness of the sinews and bones. Also used to prevent miscarriage when the fetus is restless or agitated, and when the pregnant woman has significant back pain or presents with a deficient condition. Treats hypertension – recently used for dizziness and lightheadedness from patterns of Liver yang rising.

Radix Angelicae Sinensis. Tonifies the blood and regulates the menses – for patterns of blood deficiency with such symptoms as pallid, ashen complexion, tinnitus, blurred vision, and palpitations. Also very commonly used for blood deficiency associated with gynecological disorders. Invigorates and harmonizes the blood and disperses cold –an important herb for stopping pain due to blood stasis, whether from injury, abdominal masses, and especially from deficiency cold. Also used for blood deficiency with chronic damp bi syndrome. Moistens the intestines and unblocks the bowels – for dry Intestines due to blood deficiency. Reduces swelling, expels pus, generates flesh, and alleviates pain – useful in treating slow-healing sores and abscesses, as the herb can both tonify and invigorate the blood. Stops coughing – especially cold or deficiency coughs.

Epimedii.Tonifies the Kidneys and fortifies the yang – for deficient Kidney yang patterns with such symptoms as impotence, spermatorrhea, frequent urination, forgetfulness, withdrawal, and painful cold lower back and knees. Expels wind-damp-cold – for wind-damp-cold bi syndrome with such symptoms as spasms or cramps in the hands and feet, joint pain, and numbness in the extremities. Tonifies the yin and yang and harness ascendant Liver yang – for lower back pain, dizziness, and menstrual irregularity from deficient Liver and Kidneys with subsequent ascendant Liver yang.

Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis.. Tonifies the Spleen and augments the qi – for Spleen deficiency with shortness of breath, poor appetite, fatigue, or abdominal pain. Also, for qi or blood deficiency patterns with irregular or intermittent pulse and/or palpitations. Moistens the Lungs and stops coughing – for dry throat or dry cough with thirst. Can be used for either heat or cold in the Lungs. Clears heat and relieves toxicity – for carbuncles, sores, or sore throat due to fire toxin. Moderate spasms and alleviates pain – for abdominal spasms or leg cramps. Tonifies Heart qi – for anxiety, insomnia, palpitations, etc. Moderates and harmonizes the actions of other herbs – can moderate the heat, cold, or violent properties of other herbs.

Atractylodis Macrocephalae. Tonifies the Spleen and augments the qi – for Spleen or Stomach deficiency, with vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, and loss of appetite. Strengthens the Spleen and dries dampness – for digestive disorders due to Spleen yang failing to rise, with loss of its ability to transform and subsequent accumulation of dampness. Also, for edema and reduced urination associated with Spleen deficiency..

Crataegi. : Reduces and guides out food stagnation – for accumulations due to meat or greasy foods with accompanying symptoms of abdominal distention, pain, bad breath, aversion to food, or diarrhea. Transforms blood stasis and dissipates clumps – for postpartum abdominal pain and clumps due to blood stasis. Also, for hernial disorders, abdominal masses, cysts and fibroids. Stops diarrhea – use partially charred for the diarrhea of chronic dysentery-like disorders. Treats hypertension – used recently for hypertension, coronary heart disease, and to reduce cholesterol.

Ligustri Lucidi : Nourishes and tonifies the Liver and Kidneys – for yin deficiency of the Liver and Kidneys with such symptoms as dizziness, spots before the eyes, soreness of the lower back, premature graying of the hair, and tinnitus. Augments the Liver and Kidneys and clears heat from deficiency – for internally generated heat due to yin deficiency. Augments the Liver and Kidneys and improves vision – for diminished visual acuity in patients with Liver and Kidney deficiency.

Radix Morindae Officinalis. Tonifies the Kidneys and fortifies the yang – for deficient Kidney yang patterns with such symptoms as impotence, male or female infertility, premature ejaculation, frequent urination, urinary incontinence, irregular menstruation, cold and painful lower abdomen, and a weak and sore back. Strengthens the sinews and bones – for deficient Kidney patterns with such symptoms as back pain and muscular atrophy.
